E’ passato più di un mese da quando il nuovo disco dei Radiohead è disponibile per il download a offerta libera. Quanto quel disco stia vendendo e soprattutto quanto chi lo scarica lo stia pagando è oggetto di constroversie quindi meglio attendere un po’ prima di parlare. Nel frattempo mi limito a segnalare come fin dai primi giorni dopo l’annuncio già altri iniziano a seguire le orme:  Oasis e Jamiroquai sono stati i primi e di recente anche i Kaiser Chiefs  hanno intenzioni simili. Questo senza scordare Trent Reznor, pioniere di questo genere di iniziative che ha appunto appena pubblicato con lo stesso modello dell’offerta libera un disco di cui è produttore e ha annunciato un mese fa di essere oramai totalmente indipendente da qualsiasi contratto discografico.

Io lo scricchiolio lo sento distintamente. Il fuggi fuggi è dietro l’angolo.

UPDATE  24/11: mi ero dimenticato di segnalare questa bella proiezione dell’andamento dell’industria discografica nei prossimi cinque anni di cui allego il grafico più significativo. Si parla di 20% in meno.
