The United States Patent office has rejected Amazon’s One-Click patent (USPN 5,960,411). In its Office Action released October 9th, the Patent Office found that the “prior art” (or pre-existing use of the technology) denied Amazon their claims of originality of its One-Click technology, and thus, its patentable nature. Amazon “One-Click” is the ability to keep a credit card on file with Amazon and make purchases by simply clicking a button on an item you want to purchase. |
